In a vibrant step toward unlocking the potential of young minds through digital innovation, the Honourable Commissioner for Communications Technology and Digital Economy, Suleiman Isah, paid a significant visit to Hill-Top Model School, Minna—a school known for nurturing creativity and excellence.
Strengthening Partnerships for a Digital Tomorrow
During the visit, the Honourable Commissioner held fruitful discussions with the school’s Principal, members of the school management, the Board of Trustees of the Alumni Association, and representatives of the Hill-Top Creative Foundation. The meeting focused on one unifying goal: building a stronger digital foundation for students through technology, creativity, and collaborative partnerships.
A Glimpse into the Future: The Her Excellency Oluremi Tinubu Computer Centre
A key highlight of the visit was the inspection of the Her Excellency Oluremi Tinubu Computer Centre, a tech-forward initiative currently being established within the school. This state-of-the-art centre is the result of the vision of the First Lady of Niger State and the invaluable support of NITDA Nigeria.
Once completed, the centre will serve as a hub for learning, innovation, and digital skill acquisition, empowering students with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the 21st-century digital economy.
Introducing Brainstorm Innovation Hub
In a groundbreaking move, the Commissioner also introduced the Brainstorm Innovation Hub team, who bring with them the exciting prospect of launching a dynamic innovation hub within the Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation.
This hub aims to:
- Nurture emerging startups
- Develop practical tech skills among youth
- Encourage creativity and entrepreneurial thinking
By placing innovation at the heart of education, the Ministry is helping to prepare young students not only to consume technology but to create it.
Empowering the Next Generation
This visit underscores the Ministry’s continued commitment to bridging the digital divide in schools and empowering the youth of Niger State with the resources they need to compete on a global stage.
“We are not just bringing computers into schools; we are bringing opportunity, creativity, and a future filled with promise,” Commissioner Suleiman Isah remarked during the tour.
A Collective Effort
These milestones are made possible through collaboration with dedicated partners, alumni, and community stakeholders, who share the vision of raising a digitally literate, innovative, and confident generation of leaders.
Hill-Top Model School is now well on its way to becoming a shining model of technology-enhanced education in Niger State.
